Key Responsibilities:
- Create purchase orders and obtain approval in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure stock requested from branches is loaded accurately and dispatched on time.
- Communicate any stock variances to the relevant parties before dispatch.
- Ensure all stock adjustments are approved by the Branch Manager.
- Maintain the physical security of the warehouse and stock by ensuring access is controlled at all times.
- Schedule and conduct monthly stock counts.
- Ensure the warehouse opens promptly and is operational each day.
- Perform functional duties as required by the Branch Manager.
- Promote the company image by maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.
- Develop product knowledge and understanding of services offered to customers and branches.
- Contribute to improving warehouse efficiency and operational processes.
- Receive, safeguard, and control stock. Manage stock issues and inter-branch transfers.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy.
- Implement and maintain FIFO (First-In-First-Out) stock management practices.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies, losses, and variances.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience with inventory and warehouse management systems.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and warehouse processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric/NSSC) with a minimum of 23 points.
- Diploma or Certificate in: Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or Warehouse Management
- 3-5 years’ experience in warehousing, inventory control, logistics, or stock management.
- 1-3 years’ supervisory experience managing warehouse staff and daily operations.
- Experience in: Receiving and dispatching stock, Inventory control and stock counts, FIFO stock management, Warehouse management systems.
- Experience in the tyre, automotive parts, or retail distribution industry will be an advantage.
- Valid Driver’s Licence, Code B.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures.
