Truck Tyre Fitter • Walvis Bay

We are seeking a skilled Truck Tyre Fitter / Technician to join our team in Walvis Bay. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient fitting, removal, maintenance and repair of truck and heavy commercial vehicle tyres. This is a hands-on technical role with a strong focus on safety, quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remove, fit and replace truck, trailer and commercial vehicle tyres using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform tyre inspections and assess wear, damage and correct pressure levels.
• Mount and demount tyres to rim wheels correctly and safely.
• Match dual and multi-axle wheel assemblies and ensure correct balancing.
• Inflate tyres to manufacturer-specified pressures and torque wheel nuts accurately.
• Identify defects and report to the workshop supervisor/manager.
• Maintain workplace safety standards and follow risk-management procedures at all times.
• Provide friendly, professional service to internal and external customers.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Ability to use tyre fitting machines, pressure gauge tools, balancing machines and heavy workshop equipment.
• Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of commercial vehicle systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and colleagues.
• Experience in commercial tyre fitting is an advantage.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 with a minimum of 23 points.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in truck tyre fitment.
